Here we’ve gathered a selection of our clients who were in need of – and benefited from – increased strength.
Strength prevents injuries and helps thwart daily aches.
While strength declines substantially with age, that doesn’t mean it’s lost forever.
Fortunately, it’s easy to rebuild.

“I chose personal training with Fortius Fitness because I was attracted to their concept and their way of doing things. All in all, my hope was to get a stronger body for when I play handball, as it can be a physically tough sport.
I’ve been active for quite a few years throughout my life and my body image is good – I’ve always been pretty happy about my body. I’ve just been missing a little more muscle.
As far as my training prior to this course, I’ve done strength training, I’ve run and I’ve played handball, where there are lots of exercises that ought to get you in better physical shape.
I trained roughly twice a week. I haven’t really thought about diet before, as I think I’ve more or less been eating pretty healthy.
It was completely new when I started off with a personal trainer. Having long considered it, I saw a chance to try it, and now I’ve been through a whole course – and it’s been great.
Through this course I’ve made good progress in my training. It’s been great to go from only being able to plank for 30 seconds without weight to being able to hold it for 40 seconds with 44 lbs.
I can clearly feel it in my body that it’s getting stronger and stronger. Very cool.
The course has been an amazing experience.
It’s been great to learn each exercise properly so as to be sure that I’m doing it right. And it’s been nice to get more insight into different things like diet and training, and into what kinds of things can help with the goals you’re striving for in your training.
I would like to recommend my trainer to others, as he’s been a really good teacher. The training has been hard, but in the good kind of way. I’ve been able to feel my body and notice some muscles that I hadn’t noticed in quite a long time.

“I started training at Fortius Fitness in February 2018 with Finn Erik. It’s the best thing I’ve done for myself in years. Every training session makes me happy and keeps me on track to reach my goals.
An injury to my right knee kept me from my indoor cycling (as a lead-up to cycling outdoors in the spring) and after Christmas I was left with a body that was oddly bulgy and couldn’t do anything.
I’ve always worked out for hours each week, but over the last five years my work has taken over and my strength training has been completely wiped away. My left shoulder having just barely recovered following an operation, the exercise bike became the only way I could work out.
Restless, without being able to channel my energy into the bike, with a knee that couldn’t handle stairs, a distinct feeling of weakness, a left shoulder stripped of muscles and a weight that was headed in the wrong direction – I had to admit that I couldn’t talk my way out of this.
I know how important it is for the body (turning 60 this year) to maintain its strength and function, and by this point I was pretty highly motivated to change my situation. Still, I wouldn’t be able to start without advice, support and a personal trainer, which I hadn’t tried before.
I chose personal training with Fortius Fitness. Their website guided me smoothly as far as my training goals and matching me with a trainer who really fit the bill. Quick response and startup.
My training goals were strength, muscle and a little bit of weight loss.
After a month I was happy to notice extra perks – the way Finn Erik supported my training with an eye for flexibility, body functionality, a focus on the whole body’s interaction and strength, based on my level.

My eyes have been totally opened in terms of rediscovering muscles, function, training, etc.
It’s a joy, and I’ve already made a decision to extend my 3-month course by another 3 months.

“I gave my partner and myself the gift of training at Fortius Fitness with Pia, and we’ve been really happy about it.
We’ve both had our shares of back pain, as well as other pains here and there.
We’re both runners and our goal was to gain greater strength – mostly to improve our long-distance running, as well as our running on trails and cross-country, which demand a bit more raw strength due to the challenging terrain.
Neither of us has any experience with weight training and we enjoyed getting to try out something new.
Overall, we’re pretty happy to train.
But at the same time, getting out of the door can be hard when it’s all up to us to take the initiative.
Perhaps mostly because it can be hard bearing the responsibility for both what and how to train.
But it’s just really nice here with Pia.
All we have to do is show up – and she’s got it all under control.
It’s a huge luxury.
We’ve been really happy with the whole process.
In our runs, we can really feel the strength we’ve gained in the short time we’ve trained thus far.
We can run for longer and in a more controlled way, without losing form.
It’s a beautiful feeling.
We’ll definitely continue with the training and then come back every now and then for a training check-up with Pia.
