Lone found balance in her diet and kicked off her development

I know from experience that it can be difficult for a personal trainer to stay focused in the bigger gyms, as they too can get distracted by the surroundings. On top of that, I was positively pleased at not having to weigh and measure my food, but instead just to follow some pretty simple and easy dietary advice”*
“Before beginning with Mia at Fortius Fitness, I started a course with another personal trainer, where both diet and training were key.
My goal was to tighten my entire body and build a good, solid base strength. The training went super well and I quickly started to notice having more energy in my everyday life. I could feel that my body was reacting positively to the training. It was an excellent program, covering every part of my body, but a very long program, too.
As for diet, that was a huge pain. I got a meal plan where I had to measure and weigh everything.
Since I’m naturally pretty slim and was doing some running up to the start of this course, I had to learn to eat more protein-rich foods as my trainer instructed. So I tried to stick to the meal plan but after some months I had to admit defeat.
I dropped it partly because of how tiring it was to weigh everything. It took the joy out of preparing food. It was also partly the heaping portions, several times a day. I’d taken on a lot of weight (muscle mass, of course), but certainly also quite a bit on my stomach, which was by no means flattering.
So when the contract ran out, I chose to train on, but was referred to another personal trainer who made me another meal plan to follow. This time, it turned out about the opposite way, though I still had to weigh and measure everything.
Here, I was suddenly supposed to lose 13 lbs of fat, as in eating barely anything at all – though just like before, everything still had to be weighed.
So after a month on that plan I once again decided to quit the meal plans.
While there was certainly nothing wrong with either of these diets, but for me they just didn’t work at all – having to think about food and cooking and weighing everything all the time.
Still, I’d gotten really into strength training, and when I could no longer run due to a foot injury that I’d had after my last half-marathon, I continued with the strength training.
I was lucky enough to share my enthusiasm for strength training with my clients at work.
I work as a nurse at a special institution for people with addiction disorders. This meant that the demand among my clients grew bigger and bigger, leading to a decision at the workplace to provide me with an education as a fitness instructor.
It’s great to be able to combine my passion for strength training with my work, and makes a lot of sense.
But after about a year, I felt I was starting to plateau in my own development. My body was all too used to the strength training I did 3 times a week. Finding it pretty hard to push myself, I figured I needed to find a personal trainer.
I went with Fortius Fitness because when I searched for personal trainers online it was by far the most appealing option.
On the one hand it was peaceful and quiet there, as there are no more than two people training at the same time. That’s a huge plus considering that gyms are so often overcrowded.

I was looking for a mature trainer, someone close to my own age, and preferably a woman as I thought a woman could better understand my needs as a woman. I needed a trainer who could push and challenge me in a manner that was nice and calm and mature.
I got Mia, and it’s been an incredibly excellent course. She was quiet, calm and very considerate. She listened to my wishes and goals, which were to tighten up. I didn’t want to lose weight but to have more muscle mass.
Mia has been able to support and guide me in a nice, calm and caring way, and she’s challenged me in the various exercises in exactly the way I’d wanted.
She’s managed to build an exercise routine that’s easy and simple and really pays off.
Even the diet is pretty simple and easy to stick to. All in all, I’ve lost a few scattered inches and gained a lot more muscle mass.
I’ve trained once a week with Mia for about 8 weeks and twice a week on my own.
She’s been a wonderful trainer and guide throughout the course, and I’m not going to let her go. I’ve decided to take an hour with her once in a while so I can keep my development going.

“When I first contacted Fortius Fitness, I’d already lost a good amount of weight but I just couldn’t get any further along with my training. I wasn’t able to lose any more weight and I was missing some knowledge and understanding about strength training. All in all, I’d become frustrated that I was no longer seeing any changes.
